Fort Wayne In-Home Motherhood Session

This motherhood session was the stuff of cozy dreams. Seriously.

I loved (read: LOVEDDDD) this in-home session for a few reasons. First, I photographed Adriana with her husband and boys almost one year ago when baby Ezzie was still in the womb and with this session I was able to finally meet her in person. I got to see her little personality and bright, sparkly, blue eyes first hand. I absolutely love spending time with families year after year to see the growth and changes that a bit of time can bring.

The next reason this session is one of my favorites is simply because the light, colors, tones, textures, and tender connection between mother and daughter were everything a family and motherhood photographer dreams about. With soft, filtered morning light pouring in through the gauze curtains, feminine fabrics, touches of playful pattern, and of course, a laid-back approach, this is the type of motherhood session I can’t get enough of.

Though Ezzie was quite curious the whole session, whipping her head around to check out the strange lady with the camera more than once, these images feel so true to the mother/baby/breastfeeding triad that makes me nostalgic for the days I snuggled and nourished my own girls on end.

I think it’s safe to say I’ll be visiting my own breastfeeding gallery of days past once I sign off of here 😉
