I really thrive as a family and motherhood photographer when I can begin a session with some prompts and gentle guidance, then step back and let the authentic connection between family unfold. No pre-conceived shot list. No rush to fit “connection” into a 15 minute box. And no pressure to make a family be anything they are not already.
