For this session, I had a vision in mind of bright splatters of paint everywhere, a colorful, nostalgic wardrobe, and of course, lots of laughter. I put out a model call earlier this year and when Kendall reached out, I knew her family would be the perfect fit.
I set the scene with a backdrop (kept it simple with a white bed sheet) and jars filled to the brim with brightly colored paint.
And then I stepped back and let the magic happen.
Paint was everywhere (literally) but watching the Millers get silly and creative was really everything I had envisioned. I don’t typically stage sessions in this way but I found that for this prompt specifically, once I had the supplies, my subjects could dive in and be authentic and genuine the whole way through.
It’s everything I had hoped for.
